Sandra Starkey Simon (MFA, San Jose State University, California) works from Magpie studio in the Adelaide Hills.  Apart from her personal printmaking she is the other half of FARSISS a collaborative enterprise with printmaker Fanny Retsek who lives in California.  Their work has become increasingly urgent to them as they dig deeper into the subject of habitat and loss thereof.  Environmental issues relating to extinction, weather, place, creatures (including humans) are all subjects that Sandra pursues in her work from observation and immersion in the drying of her hillside home due to Climate Change.
